Government School Admissions: Government School Draws Massive Demand as Students Compete for Limited Seats
Government School Admissions: Hundreds of students from multiple districts appeared for an entrance test to secure admission in a government school that has earned a reputation for outstanding academic results.

Government School Admissions: In an unusual trend that is turning heads in the education sector, a government school in Telangana has become one of the most sought after institutions among parents and students. Competition for admission has become so intense that students are required to clear an entrance examination to secure a seat.
The school, located in Indiranagar of Siddipet town, has built a strong reputation through consistent academic performance and modern educational facilities. As a result, families from different parts of Telangana are willing to go to great lengths to enroll their children there.
This year, the school announced 210 available seats in Classes 6 and 8. However, demand far exceeded availability, with 691 students appearing for the entrance examination. The overwhelming response once again highlighted the institution’s growing popularity.
School authorities revealed that 180 vacancies were available in Class 6 and another 40 in Class 8. Since applications greatly outnumbered the available seats, admissions are being processed through a merit based selection system.
According to Headmaster Raj Prabhakar Reddy, marks obtained in the entrance examination will play a major role in admissions. At the same time, preference will also be given to students from government schools, economically weaker families, and orphaned children.
What makes the trend even more remarkable is that students are not only coming from Siddipet. Applications have also been received from places such as Bodhan in Nizamabad district, Shivampet in Medak district, and several areas of Sangareddy district.
Despite the absence of hostel facilities on campus, parents remain eager to secure admission. Many families say they are willing to arrange accommodation in private hostels nearby if their children manage to obtain a seat in the school.
The institution’s success is largely attributed to its academic record and learning environment. Students have access to facilities such as computer laboratories, science laboratories, and a well equipped library. Teachers and administrators have focused on maintaining high educational standards over the years.
The school’s recent examination results further strengthened its reputation. Out of 259 students who appeared for the Class 10 public examinations, 251 successfully passed. One student emerged as the school topper by scoring 576 marks.
Adding to its achievements, 15 students from the school secured admissions to the prestigious Basara IIIT this year. Such outcomes have encouraged more parents to consider the institution as an alternative to expensive private schools.
School authorities also acknowledged the contribution of former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao in improving infrastructure and educational resources. Support for laboratory facilities, library development, and student encouragement programs has helped transform the school into a model government institution.
With demand continuing to rise every year, the school has become a striking example of how quality education and strong results can attract students regardless of whether an institution is public or private.
