The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 will be staged across Brazil, with 64 matches scheduled in eight cities and the final set for Rio de Janeiro.

FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027: The schedule for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup has been officially announced, setting the stage for another major tournament in international women’s football. FIFA revealed the match schedule at its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Brazil will host the tournament from June 24 to July 25, marking the first time the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be played in South America. Matches will be spread across eight cities, giving fans across the country an opportunity to experience the tournament.

The host nation Brazil will begin its campaign on June 24 at the iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Its final group stage match is scheduled for July 4 in Brasilia.

The tournament will feature 64 matches in total. As the competition moves into the knockout stage, several major Brazilian cities will share hosting duties.

The Round of 16 matches will be played in Brasilia, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador. The quarterfinals will then move to Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

The semifinals will be divided between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. One semifinal will take place in Sao Paulo, while the other will be staged at the Maracana.

The tournament will reach its climax on July 25, when the final is scheduled to be played at the Maracana Stadium. The famous Rio venue will also host the third place match, adding another major chapter to its football history.

Maracana is set to become only the third stadium to host both a men’s and women’s FIFA World Cup final. Sweden’s Rasunda Stadium and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, United States, previously achieved the distinction.

Beyond the matches, FIFA also plans to organise Fan Festivals across Brazil during the tournament. The events are expected to give supporters a chance to celebrate the competition outside the stadiums and bring the World Cup atmosphere to different parts of the country.

With Brazil preparing to welcome teams and supporters from around the world, the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup is already shaping up to be a major event for the sport.
