2.5 Lakh More Houses Announced for homeless families in Telangana
A major relief is on the way for homeless families in Telangana. The approval of lakhs of new houses under the Indiramma Housing Scheme will bring beneficiaries closer to owning homes.

Thousands of families waiting for housing assistance in Telangana have received good news. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced the sanction of an additional 2.5 lakh houses under the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
Speaking at a public meeting in Adilabad district, the Chief Minister said the government remains committed to providing permanent housing for economically weaker families. He emphasized that a secure home is essential for ensuring a dignified life for every citizen.
Revanth Reddy also revealed that housewarming ceremonies for another one lakh houses will be conducted on September 17. He said the Indiramma Housing Scheme is benefiting eligible families across both rural and urban areas on a large scale.
The Chief Minister assured that tribal families living in remote tandas and gudems would also be identified and included in the housing program. He stated that the government’s goal is to eliminate hut dwellings and ensure every family has access to a permanent home.
During his address, Revanth Reddy also spoke about farmers’ issues. He urged the Central Government to procure the paddy, maize, and sorghum purchased by the state, ensuring farmers receive fair returns for their hard work.
He added that paddy procurement operations are progressing rapidly across Telangana and disclosed that the state has already procured around 62 lakh quintals of paddy. The government, he said, will continue to fight for farmers’ interests whenever necessary.
