Tirumala Introduces Healing Centre for Devotees

A new attraction is set to welcome devotees at Tirumala, where the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has created a dedicated devotional experience and healing centre inside Vaikuntam Queue Complex One.

The centre has been designed for devotees who spend several hours waiting in the queue for Lord Venkateswara darshan. Instead of simply waiting, visitors will be able to spend some of that time experiencing the spiritual history and significance of Tirumala through modern digital technology.

Artificial intelligence and virtual reality will form an important part of the experience. Through these technologies, devotees will get a closer look at the history of the Tirumala shrine, the significance of the sacred hill, stories associated with Lord Venkateswara and important events connected with the temple’s history.

The idea is to create a peaceful atmosphere inside the queue complex and help devotees feel more connected with the spiritual side of their visit. The digital presentations are expected to offer an immersive experience while people wait for their turn to proceed towards the temple.

The project was taken up by TTD following directions given by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Tirumala for last year’s annual Brahmotsavam celebrations.

TTD subsequently worked on the concept of combining technology with devotion and developed the centre inside Vaikuntam Queue Complex One. The project is now ready for devotees and is expected to become another notable addition to the facilities available at Tirumala.

The centre will be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on September 16. The launch is expected to mark another step in TTD’s efforts to introduce technology into the pilgrimage experience without taking away from its traditional spiritual character.

For many devotees, the journey to Tirumala involves long hours of waiting before reaching the temple. TTD hopes the new facility will make that period more meaningful by giving visitors an opportunity to learn about the temple and experience its spiritual heritage in a different way.

The use of VR technology is expected to make the presentations more immersive, while AI based elements can help present information in an engaging digital format. Together, the technologies are intended to bring the history and traditions of Tirumala closer to devotees.

TTD believes the initiative can make the overall pilgrimage more memorable. The centre is also part of the temple administration’s broader efforts to improve facilities and introduce modern services for the large number of devotees visiting Tirumala every day.

With the formal inauguration scheduled for September 16, devotees will soon be able to experience the new facility as part of their visit. The initiative combines the traditional atmosphere of Tirumala with modern technology, creating a different kind of spiritual experience for those waiting for darshan.
