TTD Clarifies Rumours Over Private Vehicles to Tirumala
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has dismissed reports of a daily limit on private vehicles, asking devotees not to believe unverified social media claims ahead of the annual Brahmotsavam.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has stepped in to clear the air over reports circulating on social media about restrictions on private vehicles travelling to Tirumala during the Brahmotsavam period.
For the past few days, messages claiming that only 15,000 private vehicles would be allowed to reach Tirumala each day have been widely shared online. The posts further claimed that vehicles arriving after the daily limit would be stopped at the Alipiri checkpoint.
TTD has now rejected those claims, saying there is no decision to impose such a limit. The temple administration also made it clear that no new restrictions on the movement of private vehicles to Tirumala are currently in force.
The clarification comes at a time when large numbers of devotees are expected to visit Tirumala for the Brahmotsavams. The circulation of the vehicle limit message had reportedly created confusion among devotees planning their journeys.
Officials advised devotees to rely only on information released through authorised TTD channels. Important announcements and decisions concerning Tirumala will be communicated through the official TTD website and Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel, also known as SVBC.
The temple administration also cautioned people against forwarding unverified messages. Officials said spreading false information in the name of TTD can mislead devotees and create unnecessary concern.
TTD further warned that legal action would be taken against those involved in deliberately spreading false information using the name of the temple administration.
With the Brahmotsavam season approaching, TTD is urging devotees to check official announcements before making travel plans. The administration has once again stressed that the widely circulated claim about allowing only 15,000 private vehicles a day is not true.
