Huawei Unveils Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max With Flagship Cameras and 6000mAh Batteries

Huawei has officially expanded its premium smartphone lineup with the global launch of the Huawei Pura 90s Pro and Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max. The two flagship devices arrive with powerful Kirin 9030S processors, advanced camera systems, large batteries, and premium display technology, targeting users looking for top tier performance and photography.

Both smartphones are currently available for preorder in Malaysia, with a wider global rollout expected in the coming months. Huawei has also introduced several AI powered software features through EMUI 16, aiming to improve productivity and everyday smartphone usage.

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro starts at MYR 3699 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, while the 12GB and 512GB variant is priced at MYR 3999. The Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max is available in a single 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration priced at MYR 4899. Buyers can choose from multiple color options, with the Pro available in Guava Soda Orange Soda Coconut White and Mulberry Black, while the Pro Max comes in Blush Gold Orange Ocean Blaze Purple and Graphite Black.

Huawei has equipped both smartphones with high quality LTPO OLED displays featuring adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and improved battery efficiency. The Pura 90s Pro sports a 6.6 inch display with a resolution of 2760 by 1256 pixels, while the larger Pura 90s Pro Max features a 6.9 inch panel with a resolution of 2880 by 1308 pixels. Both screens support up to 300Hz touch sampling and deliver a pixel density of 460ppi for sharp visuals.

Powering both devices is Huawei’s Kirin 9030S octa core chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. The Pura 90s Pro is available with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, whereas the Pro Max comes exclusively with 512GB storage. Both smartphones run EMUI 16, which introduces the upgraded Celia AI assistant capable of helping users with route planning travel recommendations ride booking schedule management reminders voice calls and various system level tasks.

Photography remains one of the biggest highlights of the new Pura series. The Huawei Pura 90s Pro features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50 megapixel primary sensor, a 12.5 megapixel ultra wide camera, and a 50 megapixel macro telephoto lens. The higher end Pura 90s Pro Max upgrades the imaging system with a 50 megapixel primary camera, a 40 megapixel ultra wide sensor, and an impressive 200 megapixel telephoto camera designed for detailed long distance photography. Both smartphones also include a 13 megapixel autofocus front camera for selfies and video calls.

Huawei has packed both models with a 6000mAh battery to support extended usage throughout the day. Charging capabilities differ between the two models. The Pura 90s Pro supports 66W wired Huawei SuperCharge and 50W wireless charging, while the Pro Max offers faster 100W wired charging alongside 80W wireless Huawei SuperCharge for significantly reduced charging times.

Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, NearLink E2, NFC, USB Type C, dual band GPS, and AGPS. Both devices also feature an in display fingerprint scanner for security. To improve durability, Huawei has given the smartphones both IP68 and IP69 ratings, providing protection against dust and water in demanding environments.

In terms of design, the Pura 90s Pro measures 157.8mm in height, 74.5mm in width, and 8.2mm in thickness, with a weight of 213.5 grams. The larger Pura 90s Pro Max measures 164mm by 77.1mm with an 8.1mm profile and weighs 230.5 grams.

With premium displays, AI driven software, powerful cameras, and large batteries backed by fast charging, the Huawei Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max strengthen the company’s flagship smartphone portfolio and are expected to compete with other high end devices in global markets.
