Two Killed After Cargo Van Crashes Into Parked Lorry Near NTPC Ramagundam
A high speed collision involving a cargo van and a stationary lorry near NTPC Ramagundam claimed two lives, prompting police to begin an investigation into the fatal accident.
A fatal road accident occurred in the early hours near the Crusher Nagar area of NTPC Ramagundam in Peddapalli district, leaving two people dead.
According to preliminary information, a cargo van travelling from Chhattisgarh rammed into the rear of a lorry that had been parked along the roadside. The impact of the collision was severe, causing extensive damage to the front portion of the van.
The driver and the cleaner travelling in the cargo vehicle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene before medical assistance could reach them.
After receiving information about the accident, police reached the location and carried out a rescue operation. The victims were trapped inside the crushed cabin of the vehicle and were later removed before being shifted to a government hospital.
Officials said the identities of the deceased had not been confirmed immediately, and efforts are underway to inform their families.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
