TGSRTC Staff Get Pay Hike: Thousands of TGSRTC employees are set to benefit from a long awaited salary revision after the Telangana government confirmed the implementation of an 11 percent fitment. The revised pay structure will come into effect from July 1, fulfilling an assurance made to employees during an earlier RTC strike.

The announcement was made by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar during a high level review meeting with senior officials. Along with the salary increase, the minister directed authorities to begin the process for recognition union elections, aiming to strengthen democratic representation within the transport corporation.

The government also reviewed infrastructure development projects and instructed officials to speed up the construction of bus depots in Nagarkurnool and Peddapalli. The move is expected to improve operational efficiency and enhance passenger services across the state.

In another important decision, the minister assured full support to the family of Shankar, an RTC employee who recently died by suicide. He instructed officials to immediately provide financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to the bereaved family.

Apart from the compensation, the government will facilitate employment for one eligible family member as per existing rules. Authorities have also been directed to allot an Indiramma house to the family, offering long term support during a difficult period.

The latest announcements have been welcomed by employees, with many viewing the salary revision and welfare measures as a significant step toward improving the morale and wellbeing of the TGSRTC workforce.
