Telangana Rain Alert: Telangana Rain Alert as Trough Brings More Showers

Telangana Rain Alert: Rain activity is picking up again across Telangana, with weather officials warning of showers in several parts of the state over the next two days. The combination of a trough like weather system and moisture from the southwest monsoon is supporting the change.

Northern Telangana is expected to see the most noticeable impact. Nizamabad, Jagtial and Rajanna Sircilla have already received light to moderate rain in some areas, while more parts of Karimnagar could see showers in the coming hours.

Some parts of Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri may also receive rainfall. Outside these areas, relatively dry conditions are likely to continue in several parts of the state.

The weather department said an area of low pressure over parts of Bengal, Jharkhand and northern Odisha is gradually weakening. An upper air circulation over the Bay of Bengal is also influencing the weather pattern and could move northwestward during the next 24 hours.

Strong winds are another concern. Wind speeds could generally reach 40 to 50 kmph and may touch around 60 kmph at times. Thunderstorms and lightning are also possible in isolated areas.

Residents have been advised to remain cautious during thunderstorms. Farmers, in particular, have been asked to avoid open areas and stay away from trees and electricity poles when lightning activity is reported.

Rain has also been reported in parts of Hyderabad since the early morning. Areas including Punjagutta, Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills received showers, with more parts of the city likely to experience similar weather during the day.
