Telangana and Korea Boost Cultural Ties: Telangana is set to deepen its tourism and cultural partnership with Korea through a series of collaborative initiatives aimed at boosting cultural exchange and visitor engagement. Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said both sides are committed to expanding cooperation in these sectors.
As part of the growing partnership, Hyderabad is expected to host the Telangana Korea Cultural Festival on October 25 this year. Officials from Telangana and the Korean Cultural Centre have reached a preliminary understanding to organize the event, which is expected to showcase the cultural heritage of both regions.
The announcement followed a meeting at the State Secretariat where a delegation led by Hwang Il Lyang, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre in India and Culture and Press Counsellor at the Embassy of Korea, met Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. The discussions focused on creating new opportunities to promote tourism, cultural exchanges, and long term collaboration.
The proposed festival is expected to strengthen ties between Telangana and Korea while encouraging greater interaction through art, traditions, tourism, and cultural programs. Both sides expressed confidence that the partnership would open new avenues for cooperation in the coming years.
