Telangana Heavy Rain Alert Issued: Telangana Braces for Heavy Rainfall as Weather Department Issues Alert
The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has warned of widespread rainfall across Telangana over the coming days with heavy showers expected between June 18 and June 20 in several districts.

Telangana Heavy Rain Alert Issued: The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued a fresh weather alert for Telangana, warning that rainfall activity is likely to increase significantly across the state over the next few days. Officials said the southwest monsoon is gradually advancing and is expected to cover the entire state within the next four to five days.
According to weather experts, light to moderate rainfall is expected in several districts during the next three to four days. The changing weather pattern is likely to bring cooler conditions and increased cloud cover across many parts of Telangana.
The department has also cautioned that heavy rainfall may occur between June 18 and June 20. With the possibility of intense showers in some regions, residents have been advised to stay alert and follow weather updates issued by authorities.
Apart from rainfall, strong winds with speeds ranging between 30 and 40 kilometres per hour are likely to accompany the weather system in a few districts over the next three days. These conditions may cause temporary disruptions in vulnerable areas.
Authorities have urged people living in low lying locations to take necessary precautions as waterlogging could occur if rainfall intensity increases. Farmers have also been advised to plan agricultural activities carefully by keeping track of changing weather conditions.
Meteorologists believe the full expansion of the southwest monsoon will strengthen rainfall activity across Telangana, bringing much needed moisture while also increasing the risk of localized flooding in some areas.
