Telangana Eagle Force Busts International Drug Network Seizes Cannabis Worth Rs 12 Crore

After weeks of surveillance, Telangana Eagle Force arrested ten suspected drug traffickers and seized hydroponic cannabis worth Rs 12 crore allegedly smuggled into Hyderabad from Thailand.

In a major breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, the Telangana Eagle Force has dismantled an alleged international drug distribution network operating in Hyderabad. The operation resulted in the arrest of ten suspected drug peddlers, including a key accused believed to be involved in coordinating the supply chain.

Investigators revealed that the crackdown was the outcome of nearly a month of continuous surveillance and intelligence gathering. The suspects had reportedly been under close observation before officials moved in to carry out the coordinated operation.

During the raids, authorities recovered hydroponic cannabis valued at approximately Rs 12 crore. The seized substance is considered a high value form of cannabis and is often associated with organized drug trafficking networks due to its premium market demand.

According to preliminary findings, the network was allegedly sourcing the contraband from Thailand and transporting it to Hyderabad through a well planned supply chain. Officials suspect that the group had been catering to a specific market segment and may have been operating across multiple locations.

The Eagle Force is now examining financial transactions, communication records and logistics links connected to the accused. Investigators are also working to identify additional individuals who may have played a role in the procurement, transportation and distribution of the seized narcotics.

Senior police officials described the operation as one of the significant anti narcotics actions carried out in recent months. They stated that dismantling such networks is crucial to preventing the spread of illegal drugs and protecting young people from substance abuse.

Authorities have indicated that further arrests cannot be ruled out as the investigation continues. The focus is now on tracing the wider network and uncovering any international connections that may have facilitated the smuggling operation.
