Revanth Reddy Orders Fast Track Land Acquisition for Palamuru Project
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed officials to complete land acquisition for the Palamuru Rangareddy project quickly and assured uninterrupted funds for pending irrigation works.

The Telangana government has intensified its focus on completing major irrigation projects in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directing officials to speed up land acquisition for the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.
During a high level review meeting held at MCRHRD in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister met ministers and legislators from the undivided Mahabubnagar district to assess the progress of key irrigation projects and discuss pending issues.
Revanth Reddy instructed public representatives and officials to personally monitor the land acquisition process at the ground level and ensure there are no delays. He assured that the government would provide all required funds and make timely payments to affected landowners without interruption.
The Chief Minister also made it clear that the state government is prepared to release pending bills related to several ongoing projects in the region. According to officials, the administration wants to accelerate the pace of work so that long pending irrigation initiatives can move forward without further delays.
After the review meeting, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao strongly criticized the previous government over the handling of the project. He alleged that claims made by leaders of the previous administration regarding completion levels of the Palamuru Rangareddy project were misleading.
He further stated that although the project was projected as a massive investment initiative, only a small portion of the expected expenditure was actually utilized, resulting in delays and unfinished work.
The latest push from the government signals an effort to complete critical irrigation infrastructure while addressing long standing concerns in the region.
