Rain Alert for Telugu States: Moderate Rainfall Likely Across Telugu States Over the Next Five Days
The India Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall with strong winds across the Telugu states as changing monsoon patterns continue to influence weather conditions.

Rain Alert for Telugu States: The India Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall across the Telugu states over the next three to five days due to the continued influence of the southwest monsoon. Residents have also been advised to prepare for gusty winds during this period.
According to the weather department, several parts of Telangana could experience moderate rain accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour. Authorities have urged people to remain cautious during periods of heavy showers and strong winds.
Weather experts noted that although the arrival of the southwest monsoon was delayed this year because of El Nino conditions, rainfall patterns have changed significantly in recent years. They said climate change and global warming have altered the behaviour of the monsoon, leading to shorter but much more intense spells of rainfall.
Former India Meteorological Department Director General Dr K J Ramesh explained that instead of steady rainfall spread over several days, many regions are now witnessing heavy downpours within a short duration. He pointed to recent rainfall events in Mumbai and other cities as examples of this changing weather pattern.
Meteorologists will continue to monitor the evolving monsoon system, while people in the Telugu states are advised to stay updated with official weather forecasts and take necessary precautions during adverse weather conditions.
