NIMS ACB Raids: ACB Searches NIMS Official’s Properties in Disproportionate Assets Case

NIMS ACB Raids: The Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau conducted simultaneous searches on Tuesday at properties linked to NIMS Additional Superintendent Dr Nori Lakshmi Bhaskar as part of a disproportionate assets investigation. The searches began in the morning and are being carried out across multiple locations.

According to reports, ACB teams are examining premises connected with the NIMS official in Hyderabad and other areas. Initial reports said searches were taking place at 12 locations across three districts, while one report put the number at 13 locations. The exact count may be clarified by the agency after the operation is completed.

The investigation is focused on allegations that Dr Lakshmi Bhaskar accumulated assets beyond his known sources of income. Officials are checking property documents, bank transactions and other financial records to establish the extent of the assets linked to the case.

Search teams are also checking the doctor’s residence and office, along with properties associated with relatives and close contacts, according to reports. Bank accounts, deposits, lockers and documents relating to immovable properties are among the records being examined during the searches.

The ACB has not yet released an official statement detailing any cash, jewellery, property documents or other material recovered during the searches. The operation was still underway when the reports were published, so the value of any assets or items found has not been officially established.

Investigators are expected to compare the assets identified during the searches with the official’s known sources of income. Such a comparison could help determine whether there is a difference between his declared financial position and the assets found during the investigation.
