An anti corruption operation in Mahabubabad led to the arrest of an MPDO, her son, and an MPO after they were allegedly caught accepting a bribe related to land layout approvals.

MPDO Caught Taking Bribe: A major anti corruption operation in Telangana’s Mahabubabad district resulted in the arrest of three individuals, including a Mandal Parishad Development Officer, after they were allegedly caught accepting a bribe linked to a land related matter.
The Anti Corruption Bureau conducted the operation in Narsimhulapet mandal and arrested MPDO Radhika, her son Nagarjuna, and MPO Yakaiah. Officials registered a case against all three and later produced them before the ACB Court in Warangal.
According to investigators, a local resident approached the officials seeking administrative action related to a land layout in Padmavathigudem village. The request involved issuing directions to the Panchayat Secretariat concerning the mortgaging of land with the Gram Panchayat for layout development purposes.
During the process, the officials allegedly demanded money in exchange for facilitating the required approvals. Following a complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and monitored the transaction.

Authorities said the complainant handed over Rs 45,000 to Nagarjuna, the son of the MPDO, on Friday. ACB teams, who were already stationed at the location, immediately intervened and caught the accused during the alleged acceptance of the bribe amount.
The arrests created a strong reaction among residents in the area. After news of the operation spread, several locals gathered near the MPDO office and reportedly celebrated the development by bursting firecrackers, reflecting long standing public dissatisfaction.
The Anti Corruption Bureau stated that further investigation is underway and that appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the case.
