Missing Wife Complaint Takes Shocking Turn in Andhra Pradesh Murder Case

What initially appeared to be a routine missing person complaint in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal district has now turned into a disturbing murder investigation that shocked local residents and police officials alike.

Thirty five year old Lakshmi from Veeravolu village in Banaganapalle mandal was reported missing earlier this month by her husband Venkataswamy at the Nandivargam police station. However, suspicions raised by her relatives eventually led investigators toward a grim truth.

Family Suspected Husband From Beginning

According to police officials, Lakshmi’s family members became suspicious soon after the husband filed the missing complaint. Relatives reportedly felt that Venkataswamy’s behaviour appeared unusual and demanded a detailed police investigation into the disappearance.

Based on the complaint from family members, Banaganapalle Circle Inspector Manjunath Reddy and Sub Inspector Bhupaludu registered a case and launched a deeper inquiry.

During questioning and evidence collection, investigators reportedly uncovered shocking details connected to the woman’s disappearance.

Body Found Buried Near Canal

Police said preliminary investigation revealed that Lakshmi was allegedly murdered nearly a week before the missing complaint was filed.

Investigators suspect that Venkataswamy, along with his brothers Venkataramana and Srinivasulu, took Lakshmi to an area near the Galeru Nagari canal close to the village, where she was allegedly killed and buried.

Officials stated that the accused later acted as though they had no knowledge about the incident and attempted to mislead police by filing a missing person complaint.

Postmortem Conducted at Spot

Since the body had decomposed significantly by the time it was discovered, authorities conducted the postmortem examination at the crime scene itself.

Police have now taken the husband and his brothers into custody for questioning. Investigators believe more details may emerge during further interrogation.

The incident has created tension and shock in the village, with residents struggling to come to terms with the disturbing allegations surrounding the case.

Police Continue Investigation

Officials said the investigation is still ongoing and additional evidence is being gathered. Police are examining the exact motive behind the alleged murder and whether any other individuals were involved.
