Mehdipatnam Drug Racket Busted Using Rapido for MDMA Deliveries
Hyderabad police arrested a drug supply gang in Mehdipatnam after uncovering an MDMA delivery network that allegedly used Rapido rides and local contacts to distribute narcotics across the city.

A major drug racket operating in Hyderabad’s Mehdipatnam area was busted by police on Saturday, leading to the arrest of several accused involved in the sale and distribution of MDMA. Officials seized 137.60 grams of MDMA valued at around Rs 26.80 lakh during the operation.
Police also recovered a Volvo car, mobile phones, an electronic weighing machine and packaging materials believed to have been used for preparing and distributing the drugs.
According to investigators, the main accused, M Shubham Kumar Mishra from Gandhinagar, was allegedly involved in supplying drugs to consumers in different parts of the city. Police said he had a history of consuming ganja and MDMA along with his childhood friend Sai Nikhil Yadav.
Officials revealed that after Sai Nikhil was arrested earlier in another drug case by Chilkalguda police, Shubham continued the illegal business with the help of his friends Soham Nayak and Kalangi Rajesh.
The accused reportedly divided the drugs into smaller packets and supplied them to customers through direct delivery methods. Police said Rapido bike services were also allegedly used to transport the drug packets to buyers. Investigators further stated that Shubham’s brother was also involved in delivering narcotics.
Based on specific information, teams from Golconda Zone Task Force and Mehdipatnam police carried out the raid and arrested the suspects. Several customers who were allegedly purchasing drugs were also taken into custody during the operation.
