Hyderabad Traffic Restrictions in Several Routes for Bakrid Prayers
Hyderabad traffic restrictions will affect Mir Alam Tank, Tolichowki and Mehdipatnam routes today as police advise motorists to use alternate roads and avoid heavy congestion during Bakrid prayers.

Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced major traffic restrictions and diversions across several parts of the city on Thursday in view of Bakrid prayers at the historic Mir Alam Tank Eidgah. Thousands of worshippers are expected to attend the special morning prayers, leading authorities to enforce temporary traffic control measures in Old City areas and nearby roads.
Police officials said traffic restrictions will remain in force from 7 am to 11:30 am around Bahadurpura, Kishanbagh, Tadban and surrounding areas. During this period, only vehicles carrying devotees will be permitted towards the Eidgah while regular traffic will be diverted through alternative routes to prevent congestion.
Vehicles arriving from Puranapool, Kamatipura and Kishanbagh with worshippers will be allowed through Bahadurpura X Road. However, common vehicles will not be allowed towards Eidgah or Tadban and will instead be redirected through the Dr Manmohan Singh Express Flyover connecting Zoo Park and Aramghar.
Motorists travelling from Shivrampally and Danamma Huts areas have been advised to take Shastripuram or NS Kunta roads. Similarly, only prayer related vehicles from Kalapathar side will be allowed through Kalapathar police station limits while general traffic will be diverted to other routes.
Special parking arrangements have also been made for devotees attending Bakrid prayers. Parking spaces will be available near the Zoo Park boundary wall, close to Masjid Allah Ho Akbar, at the Water Board premises and inside and outside the Mir Alam Filter Bed area. Single line parking will also be permitted near Modern Petrol Pump between Pillar Numbers 91 and 94.
Police further stated that traffic congestion is likely during evening hours in Tolichowki, Nanalnagar, Retibowli and Attapur areas. To manage the rush, additional diversions will be implemented from 4 pm to 5 pm. Commuters travelling from Raidurgam and Gachibowli towards Mehdipatnam have been advised to use Filmnagar Road below the Shaikpet Flyover or travel through Brindavan Colony Road.
Hyderabad Traffic Police requested citizens to cooperate with officials, follow diversion instructions and plan their journeys in advance to avoid inconvenience during Bakrid celebrations.
