Election Commission Extends Telangana Voter List Revision Deadline to August 3
The Election Commission has extended the deadline for Telangana's Special Intensive Revision until August 3, giving eligible voters more time to complete verification and submit required documents.

The Election Commission has extended the deadline for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Telangana, providing additional time for voters to complete the verification process. The revised schedule aims to ensure that eligible citizens are not left out of the updated voter list.
According to the latest notification, the field verification process will now continue until August 3. During this period, Booth Level Officers will carry on door to door visits, collect voter information, distribute forms, and receive completed applications from residents across the state.
The Commission said the extension was approved after receiving requests from several political parties, which pointed out that the revision process was progressing slowly in some areas. Reports of delays in the distribution of enumeration forms also contributed to the decision.
Under the updated timetable, the draft electoral roll will be published on August 10. After its release, citizens will be able to apply for new voter registration, corrections, additions, deletions, and other changes until September 9.
Election officials have been instructed to complete the verification of all applications, issue notices where required, and dispose of claims and objections by October 8. Once the process is completed, the final voter list is scheduled to be published on October 12.
The Election Commission has also directed state election officials to widely publicise the revised schedule and ensure that political parties are formally informed about the updated timeline.
Officials have advised eligible voters not to wait until the final days. They urged citizens to verify their details and submit the required forms within the revised deadline to avoid any issues with their names in the electoral roll.
