DTO Dies in Accident: A tragic accident claimed the life of a District Transport Officer while he was carrying out official duties in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Monday. The incident occurred near Chelpur on the outskirts of Ganapuram mandal, where transport department officials were conducting routine vehicle inspections.

According to preliminary information, District Transport Officer Venkanna was checking vehicles in front of the transport department office when a coal laden lorry reportedly lost control and rammed into him. The impact caused severe injuries, and he died at the scene before medical assistance could arrive.

Police personnel rushed to the location after receiving information about the accident. The body was later shifted to a hospital for postmortem examination. Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal crash.

The sudden death of the officer has shocked colleagues and local residents. Venkanna was reportedly performing his official responsibilities when the accident occurred, making the incident even more heartbreaking for those who knew him.

State Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed deep sorrow over the officer’s death and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family. He described the loss of a government employee while on duty as extremely unfortunate and assured that the government would extend support to the family during this difficult time.
