Bullet Train Survey: Survey Begins for Hyderabad Chennai and Bengaluru Bullet Train Corridors

Bullet Train Survey: The proposed Hyderabad Chennai and Hyderabad Bengaluru bullet train projects have taken an important step forward with detailed ground surveys now underway across parts of Telangana. Survey teams have started marking potential alignment routes as authorities move closer to finalizing the high speed rail corridors.

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited is conducting field surveys in Rangareddy, Nalgonda and Vikarabad districts following the completion of preliminary aerial studies. Officials are currently verifying the proposed routes on the ground before preparing the final alignment plans.

Survey teams have been placing red and white markings across agricultural lands, open spaces and other selected locations to identify the proposed corridor. The markings are intended to help determine the railway alignment, survey points and areas that could be considered for future land acquisition.

In Yacharam mandal of Rangareddy district, marking work has already been completed in villages including Kurmidda, Medipalli, Mankisgudem, Takkallapalli, Chintapatla, Nallavelli and Manthana Gourelli. Similar surveys are progressing through Shamshabad, Maheshwaram, Kandukur and Nampally for the Hyderabad Chennai corridor, while the Hyderabad Bengaluru route is being surveyed through Shamshabad and Shabad.

Officials said the present exercise is aimed at assessing the feasibility of the project before confirming the exact railway route. Once the surveys are completed, authorities are expected to finalize station locations, the corridor alignment and the extent of land required for construction.

The proposed bullet train corridors are designed for speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour and are expected to be built as fully elevated tracks. Once completed, travel time from Hyderabad to Chennai and Bengaluru could be reduced to around two to three hours, significantly improving regional connectivity.

Experts believe the ambitious infrastructure project could strengthen economic activity, industrial growth and business connectivity across Telangana and neighboring states by offering faster transportation and encouraging new investments.
