Ashada Bonalu Celebrations Begin Across Hyderabad as CM Revanth Reddy Extends Greetings
Ashada Bonalu festivities have begun across Hyderabad with elaborate temple celebrations, while the Telangana government has strengthened civic facilities, security arrangements, and public services for devotees.
The vibrant Ashada Bonalu festival has officially begun across Hyderabad, bringing thousands of devotees to temples to take part in one of Telangana’s most cherished religious celebrations. The annual festival marks a significant occasion in the state’s cultural and spiritual calendar.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people of Telangana and devotees celebrating Bonalu. He described the festival as a symbol of faith, tradition, and social harmony, encouraging everyone to participate with devotion and seek the blessings of Goddess Mahankali.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations, the Telangana government has allocated Rs 20 crore for festival arrangements. Authorities have made extensive preparations, including sanitation services, uninterrupted drinking water supply, continuous power, medical assistance, and comprehensive police security at temple premises.
More than 3,000 temples under the Endowments Department are expected to host Bonalu celebrations during the festival season. The festivities, dedicated to Goddess Mahankali, will continue until the middle of August with religious rituals and cultural events taking place across the city.
Keeping in view the large number of devotees expected to attend, officials from multiple government departments have coordinated in advance to oversee preparations and public safety. This year, the celebrations have also been expanded to several other municipal corporations, allowing more people across Telangana to participate in the traditional festival.
