Family of Three Killed in Crash: A family returning to Bengaluru after Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations met with a fatal accident in Maddur taluk on Tuesday morning. Three members died in the crash.

The deceased were identified as Mutturaju, 35, his wife Kavya, 30, and their eight year old daughter Keerthana. They suffered serious injuries in the collision and died at the spot.

The family was travelling through the Koppa route when a milk tanker coming from the opposite direction hit their vehicle. The force of the collision caused severe damage and left three family members dead.

Their son was also seriously injured in the accident. He was taken to a private hospital for treatment. Further details about his condition were not immediately available.

Koppa police reached the location after receiving information about the crash. Officers began an investigation and examined the circumstances that led to the collision.

The bodies of the deceased were later taken to Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences for postmortem examinations.

Police arrested the tanker driver following the accident and seized the vehicle. The investigation is continuing to establish exactly how the collision happened.

The family had gone to their native place for Vinayaka Chavithi and was on its way back to Bengaluru when the accident occurred. The deaths of three members of the same family have caused grief among relatives and people in the area.

Police are collecting further information as part of the investigation.
