Chandrababu Invites Prime Minister Modi for Alluri International Airport Inauguration

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport on August 1 highlighting its importance for regional growth investment tourism and connectivity.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday during a courtesy meeting at Parliament House. During the interaction, the Chief Minister formally invited the Prime Minister to attend the inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport scheduled for August 1.

The invitation was accompanied by an official letter, with Chandrababu describing the airport as one of the most significant infrastructure projects undertaken by the state. He emphasized that the new international airport would play a major role in improving connectivity and accelerating economic development across Andhra Pradesh.

Built at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district, the airport is expected to become a major gateway for North Andhra. State officials believe the project will encourage domestic and international air travel while creating fresh opportunities for industries, trade and tourism in the region.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also thanked the Prime Minister for the Union Government’s continued support for key infrastructure initiatives in Andhra Pradesh. He noted that cooperation between the Centre and the state has been crucial in advancing several development projects.

The discussion also covered the progress of various projects being implemented with joint support from the Central and State Governments. Officials said the airport is expected to strengthen investment prospects and improve the region’s overall economic potential after its launch.

Government sources expressed confidence that the Prime Minister’s presence at the inauguration would add significance to the event and underline the importance of the airport as a landmark development project for Andhra Pradesh.
