Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 Sale Date Announced

Amazon has announced the start date for its much awaited Great Indian Festival 2026, with the festive shopping event set to begin on October 8. The annual sale is expected to bring a wide range of deals across smartphones, electronics, fashion, beauty products, home appliances, groceries and other categories.

Customers using eligible SBI credit and debit cards can avail themselves of an instant 10 percent discount during the sale. Eligible EMI transactions will also qualify for the offer. Amazon Prime members will additionally get up to 10 percent extra discount on selected deals, giving them access to special savings during the event.

The company is also preparing several other offers for shoppers, including new product launches, exchange deals and no cost EMI options. Deals are expected to be rolled out through different sale formats, including blockbuster offers, Top 100 deals, Mega Deals and special deals scheduled for 8 PM.

Amazon is also strengthening its operations ahead of the festive shopping rush. The company has added 20 fulfilment centres, six sortation centres and 150 last mile delivery stations across India. Its seasonal operations are expected to create more than 160,000 job opportunities across around 400 cities.

The seller network has also expanded significantly. Amazon currently has more than 1.7 million sellers on its platform, with over 300,000 new sellers joining during the past year. The expansion is expected to give customers access to a wider selection of products during the festive season.

Apart from regular discounts, shoppers can look forward to offers such as Buy More Save More, Exchange Mela and Sample Mania. These promotions are expected to cover different product categories and provide additional opportunities for customers looking for festive purchases.

Amazon is also planning to expand its Amazon Now quick delivery service to 100 cities by Diwali. The expansion will include non metro cities such as Jalandhar, Tirupati, Warangal, Dharwad and Vellore. Customers in these locations will be able to order essentials, fresh fruits and vegetables and selected small household products for faster delivery.

With the festive season approaching, Amazon is preparing both its shopping platform and delivery network for increased demand. The Great Indian Festival 2026 is expected to bring a mix of bank discounts, product launches, exchange benefits and special promotions from October 8.
