Family of Four Found Dead in Mysuru Home as Police Probe Tragic Incident

Police have launched an investigation after a couple and their two children were found dead inside their residence in Mysuru with preliminary findings pointing to a suspected murder and suicide.

A tragic incident has left residents of Mysuru district in Karnataka in shock after four members of a family were found dead inside their home in Hunsur town.

According to police, the deceased include a 49 year old man, his 36 year old wife and their two children aged 13 and 6. Investigators suspect that the man allegedly killed his family before taking his own life inside the house.

Officials said the woman and the children were found with adhesive tape placed over their mouths and are believed to have died due to strangulation. The man was later discovered hanging inside the residence.

The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when neighbours became concerned after repeated attempts to contact the family went unanswered. They alerted the police, who forced open the locked door and found all four bodies inside the house.

During the initial investigation, police learned that the man’s elderly mother had been sent to stay with relatives a few days before the incident. Officers are examining whether that development has any connection to the case.

Authorities have registered the case and are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the suspected crime. Police said the exact circumstances leading to the deaths will become clear after a detailed inquiry.
