Vivo X Fold 6 Launch This Week Brings 4 Storage Options and Premium Foldable Upgrades

Vivo X Fold 6 is set to launch with up to 1TB storage, powerful Dimensity chipset, 200MP camera, large battery, and multiple color choices, aiming to redefine the premium foldable smartphone experience.

Vivo is preparing to expand its foldable smartphone lineup with the launch of the Vivo X Fold 6 this week in China. The device has already started making headlines due to leaked details about its storage configurations, design improvements, and upgraded performance features. The official launch is scheduled for June 26, and expectations are running high in the premium smartphone segment.

Interestingly, leaks suggest that the Vivo X Fold 6 will be offered in four different storage variants, with the top model featuring up to 1TB storage. Pricing details shared by tipster Little Q on Weibo indicate a premium positioning, with the base model starting at 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while higher variants go up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. This wide range of configurations shows Vivo’s focus on catering to both high end users and power consumers.

The pricing structure reportedly begins at CNY 9,999 for the base variant and goes up to CNY 12,499 for the top model. In Indian currency, this translates to a range of approximately 1.39 lakh to 1.74 lakh rupees, placing it firmly in the flagship foldable category.

One of the most talked about upgrades is the battery system. Vivo executive Han Boxiao has confirmed that the upcoming device will feature a massive 7000 mAh Blue Ocean battery, which is a notable improvement over the previous generation. The company claims that the battery can last up to 9.8 hours under heavy usage conditions and even perform in extreme cold temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.

In terms of design, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to feature a lightweight hinge system and a refined metal frame with rounded corners. The device will also introduce a new Blue Hole color option along with additional shades such as Polar Night, Salt Lake, and Black Gold, offering users a variety of premium finishes.

On the display front, the foldable smartphone is rumored to come with an 8.02 inch internal screen capable of reaching up to 5000 nits peak brightness. This makes it one of the brightest foldable displays in its segment, aimed at delivering better outdoor visibility and immersive viewing.

Performance is another major highlight, as the device is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. Vivo and MediaTek have reportedly worked together for nearly two years to optimize this platform specifically for foldable devices, with claims of improved NPU performance for smarter processing and better efficiency.

Photography is also expected to receive a significant boost. The Vivo X Fold 6 may feature a 200 megapixel primary camera with f/1.68 aperture and optical image stabilization support, making it one of the most advanced camera setups in a foldable phone.

Adding to its productivity features, the device is expected to include Atomic Workbench, a software enhancement that allows users to run multiple apps simultaneously on a single screen. With its combination of power, design refinement, and advanced multitasking tools, the Vivo X Fold 6 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious foldable launches of the year.
