Rajendra Prasad Gets Padma Shri: Rajendra Prasad and Murali Mohan Honoured with Padma Shri Awards

Telugu cinema icons Rajendra Prasad and Murali Mohan received Padma Shri honours from President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi recognising their remarkable contributions to Indian cinema and culture.

Rajendra Prasad Gets Padma Shri: The Telugu film industry received a proud moment on the national stage as veteran actors Rajendra Prasad and Murali Mohan were conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri awards. The honours were presented by President Droupadi Murmu during the second phase of the Padma Awards ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Among the distinguished personalities recognised this year, Rajendra Prasad was honoured for his outstanding contribution to the arts. Widely admired for his versatility and comic timing, the veteran actor has entertained Telugu audiences for more than four decades through hundreds of memorable performances across different genres.

Murali Mohan also received the Padma Shri award in recognition of his significant contribution to Indian cinema. Apart from establishing himself as a respected actor, he earned appreciation as a producer through several notable films under the Jayabheri banner. He also played an important role in the growth and development of the Movie Artists Association.

The grand ceremony witnessed the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and several other dignitaries. A total of 47 individuals were presented with Padma Shri awards during this phase of the celebrations, highlighting exceptional service and achievements across various fields.

The recognition of Rajendra Prasad and Murali Mohan has been widely celebrated by the Telugu film fraternity and cinema lovers, marking another proud chapter for Telugu cinema on the national platform.
