Lenovo is preparing to launch its Tab Plus Gen 2 in India featuring a 12.1 inch 2.5K display, 9 JBL tuned speakers, 10200mAh battery, AI features, and powerful entertainment focused performance

Lenovo is gearing up to bring a powerful new tablet to the Indian market with the Tab Plus Gen 2, a device that is already drawing attention for its strong multimedia focus and premium specifications. The tablet was first introduced globally on June 16, and now its India arrival looks close as the product page has gone live on Amazon India, revealing key details about its features and design.

At the heart of the experience is a large 12.1 inch 2.5K LCD display designed for immersive viewing. With a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness reaching up to 800 nits, the screen is built for smooth visuals and vibrant color output. It also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, making it suitable for movies and high quality streaming content. Lenovo has also included eye protection technologies such as low blue light and TÜV Rheinland certification to ensure comfortable long viewing sessions.

Interestingly, this tablet is not just about visuals. Lenovo has clearly positioned it as a portable entertainment hub. The Tab Plus Gen 2 comes with a unique 9 speaker setup tuned by JBL, combined with Dolby Atmos support and a 7.2 channel cinematic audio system. The arrangement includes multiple tweeters, woofers, and passive radiators that work together to deliver powerful sound output. Users can switch between dynamic, movie, and music modes depending on their usage, and the device can even function as a Bluetooth speaker controlled directly from a smartphone.

The audio experience is further enhanced with specialized features like dialogue enhancement for clearer voices in movies and a custom equalizer for fine tuning music playback. Certified for Hi Res Audio and Hi Res Wireless Audio, the tablet aims to deliver a rich and detailed sound experience that stands out in its category.

Performance wise, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa core processor. It also brings a range of AI based features including Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, and Lenovo AI Live Transcript, which enables real time captions and translations. These tools are designed to make content more accessible and interactive, especially for users consuming multilingual media.

In terms of memory and storage, the device offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Users can expand storage further up to 2TB using a microSD card, making it suitable for large media libraries and offline content. Connectivity options include Wi Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring stable and fast wireless performance.

Battery life is another major highlight. The Tab Plus Gen 2 packs a 10200mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging. Lenovo claims the tablet can deliver up to 15 hours of video streaming and around 52 hours of music playback, making it suitable for long entertainment sessions without frequent charging.

Beyond entertainment, Lenovo is also focusing on cross device productivity with its Smart Connect ecosystem. Features like Share Hub, App Streaming, Smart Clipboard, and Cross Control allow seamless interaction between tablets, PCs, and smartphones. This makes the device useful not just for media consumption but also for work and multitasking.

The design follows a minimal and modern approach with soft edges and a lightweight aesthetic. Lenovo also offers accessory support such as shoulder straps, custom sleeves, and stylus loops, indicating that the tablet is being positioned for both casual users and creative professionals.

While official pricing and India availability details have not been announced yet, the live Amazon listing strongly suggests that the launch is around the corner. With its combination of powerful audio, large display, long battery life, and AI driven features, the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is shaping up to be a strong contender in the premium entertainment tablet segment.
