Midrange 5G Battle Heats Up with Realme P4R, OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite and Poco M8 5G Compared
Three new midrange smartphones compete on performance, battery life, camera capabilities, and display technology, giving buyers multiple choices in the budget 5G segment this year.

The midrange smartphone market has become more competitive than ever with brands pushing stronger processors, bigger batteries and improved cameras at affordable prices. Realme P4R 5G has recently entered the Indian market, going head to head with OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite and Poco M8 5G. Each device brings a different balance of performance and features, making the choice more about user preference than clear superiority.
Starting with pricing, Realme P4R 5G is positioned aggressively with multiple variants beginning at 18,999 rupees for the base model. OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite sits slightly higher in the segment with its pricing going up to 25,999 rupees depending on configuration. Poco M8 5G is placed in between, offering competitive pricing starting from 19,999 rupees, making all three phones closely matched for budget-conscious buyers.
Performance is where the differences become more visible. Realme P4R 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, while OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite steps ahead with the Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset for stronger multitasking capability. Poco M8 5G takes a different route with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, aiming for balanced efficiency and stable daily usage across apps and gaming.
Display technology also separates these smartphones clearly. Realme P4R 5G features a large 6.8 inch HD Plus display with a high 144Hz refresh rate, focusing on smooth scrolling. OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite offers a 6.72 inch Full HD Plus LCD panel with accurate resolution and adaptive responsiveness. Poco M8 5G stands out with its 6.77 inch 3D curved AMOLED display that delivers sharper visuals and significantly higher peak brightness.
Camera setups across all three phones follow different strategies. Realme P4R 5G includes a 50 megapixel primary rear camera paired with an 8 megapixel front shooter for selfies. OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite adds more versatility with a dual rear camera system led by a 50 megapixel Omnivision sensor and a secondary monochrome lens. Poco M8 5G also uses a dual rear camera setup but upgrades the selfie experience with a 20 megapixel front camera.
Battery life is one of the strongest highlights in this comparison. Realme P4R 5G leads with a massive 8000mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging. OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite follows closely with a 7000mAh unit and 45W SUPERVOOC charging support. Poco M8 5G comes with a smaller 5520mAh battery but still maintains fast 45W wired charging, ensuring consistent usage throughout the day.
On the software side, Realme P4R 5G runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0, while OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite also uses Android 16 but with OxygenOS 16 offering a cleaner experience. Poco M8 5G ships with Android 15 based HyperOS 2, giving it a slightly different interface approach compared to the other two.
Connectivity and additional features remain strong across all devices with 5G support, USB Type C ports and modern Bluetooth versions. OnePlus edges ahead with Wi Fi 6 support and newer Bluetooth standards, while Poco and Realme focus on stable everyday connectivity features suitable for general users.
Overall, all three smartphones target different types of users within the same price bracket. Realme focuses on battery and value, OnePlus emphasizes balanced performance and software experience, while Poco highlights display quality and camera versatility.
