Xiaomi Pad 8 Gets Price Hike in India as All Variants Become More Expensive
Xiaomi has increased the price of every Pad 8 variant in India by Rs 2000, making the premium tablet lineup costlier despite retaining the same specifications and features.

Xiaomi has revised the pricing of its Pad 8 tablet lineup in India, making the device more expensive across all variants just a few months after its launch. The move comes at a time when rising component costs and supply chain pressures are impacting the prices of electronic devices worldwide.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 was introduced in March as a premium tablet aimed at users seeking high performance, productivity features, and entertainment capabilities. However, customers planning to purchase the device will now have to spend more, as the company has implemented a uniform price increase of Rs 2000 across the entire range.
The base variant featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage was originally launched at Rs 33,999. Following the latest revision, the same model is now available for Rs 35,999. Similarly, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version has seen its price rise from Rs 36,999 to Rs 38,999.
The increase is not limited to the standard models. Xiaomi has also adjusted the pricing of its premium editions. The Focus Pen Pro variant now carries a price tag of Rs 43,999 instead of Rs 41,999. Meanwhile, the Nano Texture Display edition with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage has become costlier as well, moving from Rs 38,999 to Rs 40,999.
Despite the price adjustment, the specifications of the tablet remain unchanged. Xiaomi Pad 8 continues to offer a premium hardware package led by an 11.2 inch display with a sharp 3.2K resolution. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for gaming, multimedia consumption, and everyday navigation. It also reaches up to 800 nits of peak brightness, making it comfortable to use in different lighting conditions.
Performance remains one of the strongest aspects of the device. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a chipset designed to handle demanding workloads, multitasking, and gaming with ease. Xiaomi pairs the processor with up to 12GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast app loading and responsive performance.
Battery life continues to be a major highlight. The Xiaomi Pad 8 houses a large 9200mAh battery that is supported by 45W fast charging technology. This combination allows users to enjoy extended usage while reducing downtime during charging sessions.
For entertainment enthusiasts, the tablet includes Dolby Atmos support, offering an immersive audio experience. The device runs on HyperOS 3 and is compatible with the Focus Pen Pro stylus, making it suitable for note taking, sketching, and productivity tasks.
The latest price revision reflects the broader trend of increasing costs in the consumer electronics market. While the Xiaomi Pad 8 still offers a strong combination of performance, display quality, battery life, and premium features, buyers considering the tablet will now need to factor in the higher pricing before making their purchase decision.
