Telangana and Germany's Thuringia state have agreed to collaborate on technology, skill development, startups and life sciences while creating new opportunities for workforce training and innovation.

Telangana has taken another major step toward expanding its global partnerships with the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Germany’s Thuringia state. The understanding is expected to open new avenues in technology, innovation, startup ecosystems, life sciences and workforce development.
The agreement was finalized during a high level meeting in Hyderabad between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and a delegation led by Thuringia Minister President Mario Voigt. Leaders from both sides discussed long term collaboration aimed at strengthening economic and educational ties while preparing talent for emerging global industries.
A key focus of the partnership is skill development. Telangana plans to align its training programs with the evolving requirements of international industries, particularly in advanced technology sectors. The initiative is expected to help create a workforce equipped to meet the demands of global employers.
Speaking during the discussions, Revanth Reddy highlighted the growing influence of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies on employment patterns worldwide. He emphasized the need for educational institutions to adapt quickly and prepare students for future careers shaped by technological transformation.
The collaboration will also support modernization of curriculum and training systems at the proposed Young India Skills University, advanced technology centers and polytechnic institutions in Telangana. Officials believe international expertise can help create industry focused programs that meet global standards.
One of the significant proposals discussed was the establishment of a German language training center in Hyderabad. The facility would help students and professionals acquire language skills required for employment and higher education opportunities in Germany and other European markets.
Thuringia leaders praised Telangana’s rapid progress in innovation and industrial growth, describing the state as one of India’s leading destinations for technology and development. They expressed confidence that the partnership would benefit both regions through knowledge exchange and stronger economic cooperation.
The Telangana government also proposed customized training programs for future workforce requirements of German companies. Under the plan, candidates could receive specialized training through the Young India Skills University based on industry specific needs identified in advance.
Officials noted that Hyderabad’s reputation as a global technology hub continues to attract international attention. The city has become a major source of skilled professionals working across leading technology companies and innovation centers around the world.
The agreement marks an important milestone in Telangana’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and position itself as a destination for advanced technology, innovation driven industries and global talent development.
