Authorities Demolish Illegal Portions of Building Linked to NEET Paper Leak Accused
Municipal officials in Maharashtra took action against an allegedly unauthorized building linked to a key accused in the NEET paper leak case amid ongoing investigations.

Municipal authorities in Maharashtra have initiated action against a building owned by retired professor P V Kulkarni, who has been identified as a key accused in the NEET paper leak case. Officials alleged that portions of the structure were being constructed in violation of approved regulations.
The property, located in Shahunagar of Beed district, was built on land that previously housed the family’s ancestral residence. According to local authorities, a survey conducted after recent developments in the examination controversy revealed multiple irregularities in the construction.
Following the inspection, officials issued notices to the property owner and later moved in with heavy machinery to remove the allegedly unauthorized portions of the building. The demolition operation was carried out under municipal supervision.
The action comes as investigations into the NEET examination controversy continue to gather pace. Authorities have been examining various aspects of the alleged paper leak, which triggered widespread concern among students and parents across the country.
The National Testing Agency had earlier announced the cancellation of the examination after allegations of a question paper leak emerged. Fresh arrangements were subsequently made to conduct the test again.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation has intensified its probe into the case. Investigators have already arrested several individuals as part of the ongoing inquiry and are continuing efforts to uncover the full extent of the alleged network behind the leak.
