CM Revanth Reddy Pays Tribute to Martyrs on Telangana Formation Day

Telangana marked its 12th Formation Day with grand celebrations as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy honored statehood martyrs and reaffirmed the government's commitment to Telangana's progress.

Telangana began celebrating its 12th Formation Day on Tuesday with a mix of pride, remembrance, and public participation across the state. The occasion was marked by tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for the creation of Telangana and renewed commitments toward the state’s future development.

As part of the official celebrations, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy visited the Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park in Hyderabad and paid floral tributes to the individuals who played a crucial role in the Telangana statehood movement. He observed a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs and acknowledged their sacrifices that made the formation of the state possible.

Following the tribute ceremony, the Chief Minister proceeded to the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, where the main Formation Day celebrations were scheduled to take place. He was set to hoist the national flag, receive a ceremonial guard of honor from the police, and address the people of Telangana on the significance of the occasion.

Earlier in the day, Revanth Reddy extended his greetings to citizens through a message on social media. He described June 2 as more than just a date on the calendar, calling it an emotional reminder of the sacrifices made during the Telangana movement and a day to reflect on the aspirations that continue to guide the state’s journey.

The Chief Minister stated that Telangana was born from decades of public struggle and the dedication of countless individuals, particularly the youth who participated in the movement. He emphasized the government’s commitment to taking the state forward through transparent governance and inclusive development.

The celebrations at Parade Grounds also featured plans to honor several personalities who contributed significantly to the Telangana movement. Cultural programs highlighting the state’s traditions, heritage, and artistic identity were organized as part of the commemorative events.

Across Telangana, government offices, educational institutions, and public organizations joined the celebrations, making the Formation Day a moment of collective reflection and pride for people from all walks of life.
