Vivo X Fold 6 Leak Hints at Powerful 200MP Camera and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Chipset in Upcoming Foldable Flagship

Vivo X Fold 6 expected to launch soon with 7000mAh battery 200MP primary camera Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and major upgrades targeting premium foldable smartphone competition globally

The foldable smartphone market is heating up once again as Vivo prepares to bring its next generation device, the Vivo X Fold 6, into the spotlight. According to recent leaks, the company may launch the device this month, positioning it as a strong successor to the Vivo X Fold 5 and a serious competitor in the premium foldable segment.

Interestingly, early reports suggest that the Vivo X Fold 6 could feature a massive 7000mAh battery, which is uncommon in foldable phones due to design limitations. If true, this could mark a major improvement in battery performance, offering users longer usage time for productivity, entertainment, and multitasking without frequent charging.

In terms of performance, the device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, placing it among the most powerful foldables of its generation. The phone is also rumored to include a side mounted fingerprint sensor for security, along with a refined software experience designed for multitasking on a large foldable screen.

Camera capabilities appear to be one of the biggest highlights. The Vivo X Fold 6 may come with a 200MP primary camera, supported by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. Earlier leaks also hinted at the inclusion of a 50MP ultra wide sensor, making the device a strong contender for photography enthusiasts who prefer foldable smartphones with flagship level imaging.

The design and launch buzz have grown stronger after the device was recently spotted on an IMEI database listing, suggesting that an official announcement could be close. Industry observers believe Vivo is preparing the phone to compete directly with upcoming foldables like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Oppo Find N6, and Honor Magic V6. The foldable category itself continues to expand, with even Apple rumored to be exploring a foldable iPhone in the future.

Looking back at its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 5 featured an 8.03 inch AMOLED main display with 120Hz refresh rate and high peak brightness, along with a secondary cover display for quick access tasks. It was powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and ran on Android 15 based Funtouch OS, offering a balanced mix of performance and usability in the foldable category.

With expectations building around improved battery life, upgraded camera hardware, and next generation chipset performance, the Vivo X Fold 6 could become one of the most anticipated foldable launches of the year. However, official confirmation from Vivo is still awaited, and all details currently remain based on leaks and industry speculation.
