Xiaomi Launches Massive 621 Liter Smart Refrigerator With App Control

Xiaomi has expanded its smart home appliance lineup with the launch of the new Mija Side by Side 621L refrigerator in the European market. The latest model comes with a large storage capacity, smart connectivity features and energy efficient cooling technology aimed at modern households looking for convenience and performance in a single appliance.

The refrigerator offers a total capacity of 621 liters, making it suitable for large families and users who require extra storage for groceries and frozen items. Out of the total space, 385 liters have been dedicated to regular refrigeration while the remaining 236 liters are reserved for the freezer section.

One of the biggest highlights of the new appliance is its smart connectivity support. Users can connect the refrigerator to the Xiaomi Home app and monitor several functions remotely through their smartphones. Features such as internal temperature control, cooling modes and notifications can all be managed without needing to stand near the appliance.

The company has also included no frost technology in the refrigerator. This feature prevents ice buildup inside the freezer, removing the need for manual defrosting and making maintenance easier for users. Xiaomi says the appliance has been designed to deliver a more convenient daily experience while reducing unnecessary effort.

Apart from cooling performance, the refrigerator also focuses on hygiene and freshness. It comes equipped with antibacterial protection and odor control support using silver ion technology. This helps reduce unwanted smells and supports cleaner food storage conditions inside the appliance.

Xiaomi has given the refrigerator a clean and minimal design that matches modern kitchen interiors. The appliance is powered by a high efficiency inverter motor that operates quietly at around 35 decibels. The low noise output makes it suitable even for open kitchen layouts and compact apartments where silent operation is important.

The refrigerator also supports voice assistant integration. Users can connect it with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for hands free operation and smart home compatibility. This addition further strengthens Xiaomi’s push towards building a connected ecosystem of home devices.

According to the company, the freezer section can produce up to 14 kilograms of ice within 24 hours. The appliance measures 910 x 715 x 1770 mm and weighs around 84 kilograms.

The Xiaomi Mija Side by Side 621L refrigerator has been launched at a price of EUR 849, which is approximately Rs 94500 in Indian currency. The product is currently listed on the company’s official website and is available for purchase in select European regions.

With smart controls, large storage capacity and advanced cooling features, Xiaomi appears to be targeting consumers who want premium home appliances with connected technology and efficient everyday performance.
