Redmi Turbo 5 India Launch Nears With 20MP Selfie Camera and Powerful Dimensity Chipset
Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi Turbo 5 in India featuring a performance focused design, high end chipset, fast charging support, and premium camera setup for next generation users.

Xiaomi is ready to bring its performance oriented smartphone Redmi Turbo 5 to the Indian market, and the device is already generating strong attention due to its powerful hardware and premium specifications. The smartphone has been confirmed for an upcoming launch in India, marking the first arrival of the Turbo series in the country.
According to reports shared by tipster Yogesh Brar on social media platform X, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to launch in India next month. Xiaomi has also officially confirmed that the device will soon arrive in the country, with availability expected exclusively through Amazon. A dedicated microsite on the platform has already revealed early design details of the smartphone.
The design shown in the teaser suggests a flat rear panel with Redmi branding placed at the bottom right corner. The power button and volume controls are located on the right side of the device, following a familiar and practical layout seen in modern smartphones.
In terms of display and performance, the Chinese variant of the Redmi Turbo 5 features a 6.59 inch 1.5K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports Dolby Vision, high frequency PWM dimming, and peak brightness levels of up to 3500 nits, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor viewing experiences.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset and runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. This combination is expected to deliver smooth performance for gaming, multitasking, and everyday usage, positioning the device as a strong contender in the upper mid range segment.
Camera capabilities are also a key highlight of the Redmi Turbo 5. The rear setup includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization support along with an 8 megapixel ultra wide lens. The device also supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second, offering better video quality for content creators and casual users.
On the front, the smartphone is expected to feature a 20 megapixel selfie camera designed for clear video calls and social media use. Xiaomi has also equipped the device with a large 7560mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging and 27W reverse charging, making it one of the most battery focused phones in its category.
Security features include an ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor, adding an extra layer of protection and faster unlocking experience. The overall package is aimed at users who prioritize performance, long battery life, and modern software experience in a single device.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has also recently launched the Redmi K90 Max in select markets. This device features a 6.83 inch M10 display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3500 nits. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and includes an 8550mAh battery along with a 50 megapixel dual rear camera setup.
With the Redmi Turbo 5 launch approaching, Xiaomi appears to be strengthening its performance focused smartphone lineup in India. The device is expected to attract users looking for flagship level features at a more competitive price point.
