Forza Horizon 6 Launches in India Bringing Japan Based Open World Racing Experience

The highly anticipated Forza Horizon 6 is now live in India on Xbox Series X S and PC featuring a Japan inspired map, over 550 cars, and new racing systems for an immersive gameplay experience

The wait for racing game fans has finally come to an end as Forza Horizon 6 has officially launched in India and worldwide. Developed by Playground Games, the new open world racing title is now available on Xbox Series X S and PC, bringing a fresh Japan inspired environment along with more than 550 cars and expanded gameplay features. Players who purchased the Premium Edition gained early access from May 15, while Standard and Deluxe Edition users joined the race starting May 19.

The global rollout has been carefully timed across platforms. In India, Xbox Series X S users along with Xbox App and Game Pass subscribers received access at 12:01 AM IST on May 19. Steam players, however, experienced a slightly later unlock due to global scheduling differences, gaining access around 9:30 AM IST.

A major highlight of Forza Horizon 6 is its detailed open world map based on Japan. The game includes iconic locations such as Tokyo Tower, Shibuya Crossing, and scenic mountain routes designed for high speed driving and exploration. Developers have described it as the largest and most visually detailed Horizon map ever created, aiming to offer a more immersive racing environment.

Adding to the excitement, the game features over 550 real world inspired vehicles. It also introduces improved drifting mechanics, enhanced street racing events, and deeper elements of Japanese car culture. New systems like Car Meets and Collection Journal allow players to collect vehicles and customization rewards while engaging with the community in a more interactive way.

For many players, the biggest advantage is its availability on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass can play without purchasing the game separately, making it more accessible for a wider audience.

On the pricing front in India, the Standard Edition is available at around ₹5,499, while the Deluxe Edition costs approximately ₹7,499. The Premium Edition is priced near ₹8,999 and includes early access, VIP membership, Car Pass, a welcome pack, and upcoming expansion content.

Currently the game is available on Xbox Series X S and PC, with developers confirming that a PlayStation 5 version may arrive at a later stage.
