BMW i7 Facelift Launched in India With 728km Range and 8K Theatre Screen
BMW i7 Facelift has arrived in India with a claimed 728km range, 8K Theatre Screen, premium features, powerful performance and a starting price of Rs 1.95 crore ex showroom.
BMW has introduced the updated i7 electric sedan in India, bringing a sharper design, improved driving range and an even more feature rich cabin to its flagship electric luxury car lineup. The 2026 BMW i7 Facelift is priced at Rs 1.95 crore ex showroom.
One of the biggest talking points is the improved range. BMW says the updated i7 can cover up to 728km on a single charge under the WLTP testing cycle. That is around 125km more than the range offered by the previous version, making the upgrade particularly significant for buyers who regularly travel longer distances.
Updated Exterior Design
The facelift retains the familiar proportions of the i7, but BMW has made several changes around the front and rear sections. The redesigned kidney grille now has a more squared off appearance and comes with illuminated surrounds, giving the sedan a distinctive look at night.
The front bumper has also been revised, while the LED headlamps receive a new design. New alloy wheel patterns further freshen up the side profile, although the overall silhouette remains largely unchanged.
At the back, BMW has introduced redesigned LED tail lamps with smoked lenses, along with a revised tailgate and rear bumper. The sportier i7 M70 xDrive gets its own visual touches, including larger air intakes, M badging and larger 31 inch alloy wheels.
Large Screens Take Centre Stage
Inside, the i7 continues BMW’s focus on technology and passenger comfort. The cabin features a 17.9 inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 14.6 inch display for the front passenger. BMW’s X OS operating system handles the digital interface, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available.
The interior also gets a new four spoke steering wheel, adding another noticeable change to the facelifted model.
31.3 Inch 8K Theatre Screen
The rear passenger area remains one of the strongest highlights of the BMW i7. A massive 31.3 inch 8K Theatre Screen is fitted at the back, turning the rear cabin into a private entertainment space.
BMW has paired the display with a Bowers & Wilkins sound system featuring Dolby Atmos support. The combination is aimed at delivering a more immersive entertainment experience, particularly for passengers sitting in the rear.
Other cabin and technology features include a panoramic glass roof, connected car functions and Level 2 ADAS. Heated, ventilated and powered seats with massage functionality are also available, adding to the sedan’s focus on rear passenger comfort.
112.5kWh Battery With 728km Range
Power comes from a 112.5kWh battery pack. According to BMW, the updated i7 offers up to 728km of WLTP range on a full charge.
The additional range is one of the most important changes with the facelift. Compared with the previous model, BMW claims an improvement of roughly 125km, which could make the electric sedan more practical for highway and long distance use.
455hp Electric Powertrain
The standard i7 produces 455hp and 600Nm of torque. Despite its large luxury sedan proportions, it can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 5.5 seconds. The claimed top speed is 210kmph.
The i7 M70 xDrive sits higher in the performance hierarchy and gets a more aggressive exterior treatment along with its larger wheels and additional M specific styling elements.

The 2026 BMW i7 Facelift is priced at Rs 1.95 crore ex showroom in India. With its increased driving range, 8K Theatre Screen, premium audio system, advanced driver assistance features and high comfort levels, the updated electric sedan brings together performance, technology and luxury in BMW’s flagship EV package.
