iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Sale Begins September 18 in India

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will go on sale in India from September 18, with buyers getting access to launch offers including instant cashback of up to Rs 7,000 on eligible cards.

Apple is set to begin retail sales of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India on September 18, ending the wait for customers who have already placed preorders. The two premium models bring upgrades across the processor, cameras, connectivity and artificial intelligence features.

Preorders for both smartphones opened on September 12 through the Apple Store Online, Apple Store app and authorised retailers. Customers who missed the preorder window will be able to purchase the phones once regular sales begin.

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 for the 256GB version. Apple is also offering higher storage configurations, with the 512GB model priced at Rs 1,89,900. The 1TB version costs Rs 2,39,900, while customers opting for 2TB storage will have to pay Rs 3,14,900.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max comes with a higher starting price of Rs 1,79,900 for the 512GB model. Its 1TB variant is priced at Rs 2,54,900, while the top 2TB configuration costs Rs 3,29,900.

Along with the new phones, Apple is offering an instant cashback benefit of up to Rs 7,000 when eligible bank cards are used for payment. The actual cashback amount can vary depending on the bank, card and applicable conditions. Buyers should therefore check the offer terms before making the payment.

No Cost EMI options are also available for eligible purchases, giving customers another way to spread the cost of the expensive smartphones over multiple payments.

The iPhone 18 Pro gets a 6.3 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with ProMotion support and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display is aimed at providing smoother scrolling and a more responsive experience, particularly in supported applications and games.

Powering the smartphone is Apple’s new A20 Pro chip. The processor is accompanied by improvements aimed at handling demanding applications, photography and Apple’s latest artificial intelligence features.

Photography is one of the key areas receiving an upgrade. The iPhone 18 Pro features a 48MP Fusion camera system, with the main camera introducing a variable aperture. It is joined by a 48MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP telephoto camera, giving users multiple options for different shooting situations.

Apple has also upgraded the front camera to an 18MP Center Stage camera. The system is designed for selfies and video calls, while Center Stage technology can help keep people within the frame during supported video calls.

The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max shares much of the same hardware but uses a 6.9 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. Like the smaller Pro model, it supports ProMotion with refresh rates reaching 120Hz and runs on the A20 Pro chip.

The Pro Max also carries the 48MP Fusion main camera with variable aperture, along with 48MP ultrawide and 48MP telephoto cameras. Apple says the telephoto system supports up to 8x optical quality zoom.

Battery life is another area where the larger model stands out. Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro Max can deliver up to 43 hours of video playback, although actual battery performance can vary depending on usage, settings and network conditions.

Both smartphones also include Apple’s latest connectivity and software features. These include Apple Intelligence, Siri AI features, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and the Apple C2 modem.

The launch also puts the two Pro models into a premium price segment, particularly at the higher storage capacities. With the 2TB Pro Max reaching Rs 3,29,900, storage choice makes a substantial difference to the final purchase price.

For customers planning to buy during the first sale, the bank cashback could reduce the effective cost by up to Rs 7,000. However, the benefit is subject to eligible cards and other terms, so checking the applicable conditions is important before completing the order.

The September 18 sale will make both models available through Apple’s online channels and authorised retail network in India. With upgraded cameras, the A20 Pro chip, larger storage options and new AI capabilities, the iPhone 18 Pro series enters the market as Apple’s latest high end smartphone lineup.
