Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Launch Date Revealed

Realme is preparing to add a touch of Hogwarts magic to its smartphone lineup in India. The company has confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition will arrive in the country on September 21, bringing a special design and a collection of themed accessories for fans of the popular franchise.

The limited edition smartphone has been created through a partnership between Realme and Warner Bros. Instead of using the standard appearance of the Realme 16 Pro, the special version gets a Harry Potter inspired treatment across the phone, packaging and included merchandise.

The rear panel is finished in brown leather style and features a textured pattern inspired by Wizards Chess. The camera section also gets a Hedwig themed design, giving the handset a distinct appearance compared with the regular model.

Realme has also prepared special packaging for the phone. The limited edition box takes inspiration from Harry Potter’s trunk and is designed to look like part of the Hogwarts experience rather than ordinary smartphone packaging.

Inside the package, buyers will receive a Hogwarts Welcome Pack along with customised merchandise. The collection includes a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a train ticket, bookmarks featuring Hogwarts crests, character postcards and a phone case carrying Hogwarts branding and a phone pin.

Availability will be particularly limited. Realme has announced that only 5,000 units of the Harry Potter Edition will be offered for sale. The restricted production is likely to make the handset a more specialised product aimed at collectors and fans who want something different from a regular smartphone.

The company has also created a dedicated microsite for the upcoming device on its website and Flipkart. The pages offer a preview of the design and highlight the Harry Potter themed elements ahead of the India launch.

Under the themed exterior, the smartphone is expected to retain a strong set of hardware specifications. The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset, which will handle everyday applications, gaming and other performance intensive tasks.

The display is another notable part of the device. Realme is equipping the smartphone with an AMOLED panel that supports a 144 Hz refresh rate. The screen is also rated for a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, giving it a specification aimed at clear visibility under bright conditions.

Photography is handled by a dual rear camera system. The primary camera will use a 200 megapixel sensor, while an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera will provide a wider field of view for landscapes, group photographs and other scenes.

For selfies and video calls, the smartphone will have a 50 megapixel front camera. This gives the Harry Potter Edition a relatively high resolution setup on both the front and rear of the device.

Battery capacity is one of the biggest hardware highlights. The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition will carry a large 7,000mAh battery. It will support 80W fast charging, allowing users to recharge the device more quickly when required.

The phone will also support reverse charging, which can allow the handset to provide power to compatible accessories and other devices. The combination of a large battery and fast charging is expected to be useful for users who spend long hours on their phones.

Realme had already introduced the standard Realme 16 Pro in India earlier this year. The Harry Potter Edition builds on that smartphone with a much more distinctive visual identity and a package designed around the Hogwarts theme.

The upcoming launch is therefore not only about hardware upgrades or specifications. Much of the attention is expected to be on the presentation, limited production and collection of Harry Potter themed items included with the phone.
