Poco X8 5G and X8 Power 5G Sales Begin in India

Poco has started selling its latest X series smartphones in India, bringing the Poco X8 5G and Poco X8 Power 5G to customers. Both models are now available through Flipkart, with the company focusing heavily on battery capacity and fast charging as major selling points.

The Poco X8 5G starts at Rs 29,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The 8GB RAM model with 128GB storage costs Rs 32,999, while the top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 35,999.

Customers purchasing the Poco X8 5G during the launch offer can get a Rs 2,000 coupon discount along with a possible Rs 1,000 bank or exchange bonus. No Cost EMI is also available for eligible purchases, giving buyers additional flexibility when paying for the phone.

The battery is clearly one of the biggest attractions of the Poco X8 5G. It comes with a 9000mAh battery and supports 67W HyperCharge fast charging. The phone can also be used to charge other devices through its 22.5W reverse charging support.

On the display front, the Poco X8 5G features a 6.83 inch 1.5K OLED screen. It offers a 2772 by 1280 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can reach a peak brightness of up to 3200 nits and supports Dolby Vision.

Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 has been used for display protection. The combination of a high refresh rate and OLED panel is aimed at users who spend considerable time watching videos, browsing social media or playing games.

Powering the Poco X8 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. Buyers can choose between 6GB and 8GB RAM configurations, while storage options include 128GB and 256GB. The phone runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS.

The X8 Power 5G is available in Yellow and Black colour options. Its launch benefits include a Rs 2,000 coupon discount and a possible Rs 1,000 bank or exchange bonus. No Cost EMI is also offered for eligible customers.

The larger model keeps the 6.83 inch 1.5K OLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Peak brightness goes up to 3200 nits, while Dolby Vision support is included for compatible content.

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Poco has paired the screen with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor and Adreno 812 GPU. The phone gets 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and comes with either 128GB or 256GB storage.

Software is handled by Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. This gives the X8 Power 5G a newer software platform while also keeping the phone focused on performance and battery life.

At the back, the X8 Power 5G carries a 50 megapixel main camera with OIS and an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera. For selfies, the smartphone gets a 32 megapixel front camera.

The biggest difference between the two models comes with the battery. Poco X8 Power 5G packs a massive 10000mAh battery and supports 100W HyperCharge. It also offers 22.5W reverse charging, allowing the phone to act as a power source for compatible accessories and other devices.

Despite the large battery, the phone weighs 229 grams and measures 8.65mm in thickness. Like the standard model, it comes with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection ratings.

With both smartphones now available, Poco is clearly targeting users who place battery life high on their buying list. The X8 5G offers a lower entry price, while the X8 Power 5G moves further toward large battery capacity and faster charging.
