Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G India Launch Confirmed With AI Features and 6500mAh Battery

Tecno has officially confirmed that the Camon 50 Ultra 5G will launch in India on July 17. Ahead of its debut, the company has revealed the smartphone’s design and several key specifications, giving buyers an early look at its premium features. The device will join the existing Camon 50 series and is expected to focus on photography, performance and artificial intelligence powered features.

The smartphone will be available in Nebula Titanium, Cypress Green and Misty Purple colour options. Tecno has adopted a slim design with a flat frame, rounded corners and a vertically aligned rear camera module. The rear panel houses three camera sensors along with an LED flash, giving the phone a modern flagship inspired appearance.

Tecno has also confirmed that the smartphone will include several AI powered features, although the company has not yet disclosed the complete list of capabilities. These additions are expected to improve photography, productivity and the overall user experience.

The Camon 50 Ultra 5G was first showcased earlier this year during the Mobile World Congress, where it attracted attention for its premium specifications. The smartphone features a 6.78 inch 1.5K three dimensional curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, offering additional durability for everyday use.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor built on a 4 nanometre process. The chipset is paired with a Mali G615 MC2 graphics processor, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16, providing the latest software experience from the company.

Photography is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the device. The triple rear camera setup includes a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 700C primary sensor, a 50 megapixel telephoto camera with three times optical zoom and an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera. The rear camera system is capable of recording videos in up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.

For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is equipped with a 13 megapixel front camera. Combined with the advanced rear camera system, the device is expected to appeal to users who regularly create photos and videos using their smartphones.
