Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Launched With 200MP Camera and 5000mAh Battery

Samsung’s latest premium foldable smartphone arrives with advanced AI features, Snapdragon flagship processor, large AMOLED displays, and upgraded durability technology for users seeking a high end experience.

Samsung has introduced its new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in London. The company’s latest foldable smartphone brings major upgrades across display, performance, camera, battery, and artificial intelligence features.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is designed for premium smartphone users who want a tablet like experience in a foldable form factor. The device comes with an 8 inch AMOLED inner display and a 6.5 inch cover display, offering a larger viewing area while maintaining portability.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and includes up to 16GB RAM with 1TB internal storage. Samsung has also added a large graphite cooling structure to improve thermal management during heavy usage such as gaming and multitasking.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Price and Availability

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at Rs 1,99,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is priced at Rs 2,19,999, while the top end 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version costs Rs 2,59,999.

The foldable smartphone is available in Graphite, Cream, and Violet colour options. Customers purchasing the device through Samsung’s online store can also get a special Green Shadow finish. The company is offering a Rs 5,000 discount on the phone along with launch benefits.

Samsung is also providing six months of Google AI Pro trial and 5TB cloud storage as part of the launch offers. Pre orders for the device have started in select markets.

The display remains one of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The smartphone features an 8 inch AMOLED main display and a 6.5 inch AMOLED cover screen. Both displays support up to 120Hz variable refresh rate for smoother animations and scrolling.

The primary foldable screen offers up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, helping improve visibility in bright outdoor conditions. The cover display comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, while the rear panel uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for additional protection.

The phone runs on One UI 9 based on Android 17 and brings Samsung’s latest software experience. The combination of flagship hardware and optimized software is aimed at providing better productivity and entertainment performance.

For photography, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra with a powerful triple rear camera system. The setup includes a 200 megapixel wide angle primary camera, a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 10 megapixel telephoto camera.

For selfies and video calls, the device features a 10 megapixel front camera. The high resolution primary sensor is expected to deliver detailed images, while the additional lenses provide more flexibility for different shooting scenarios.

Battery performance is handled by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging and 20W wireless charging. The device also supports modern connectivity features including 5G, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth, and a USB Type C port.

For security, Samsung has included a side mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone also comes with an IP48 rating for protection against dust and water exposure.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra measures 158.4mm in height, 143.2mm in width, and 4.1mm in thickness when unfolded. In folded mode, it measures 158.4mm in height, 72.8mm in width, and 8.9mm in thickness. The device weighs 215 grams.

Samsung has also focused heavily on artificial intelligence improvements with this foldable smartphone. The company has enhanced Galaxy AI features with Now Brief, Now Nudge, and Gemini Intelligence integration.

Samsung claims Gemini can perform automated tasks across more than 40 supported apps and services. The Gemini Notebook feature is designed to combine notes, images, recordings, files, and documents into a single workspace for easier management.

One UI 9 also introduces a new AI Assistant Activity Dashboard that brings AI based automation controls together in one place, allowing users to monitor and manage smart features more easily.

Another major upgrade is Samsung’s new Flex Titanium technology. The company says this technology uses a titanium alloy film along with an improved titanium frame to provide better support for the foldable display. Samsung claims the technology helps the screen handle pressure and impact while also reducing crease visibility over time.

With a premium design, flagship performance, advanced AI capabilities, and a high resolution camera system, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra aims to strengthen the company’s position in the luxury foldable smartphone segment. However, its extremely high price means it will mainly target buyers looking for the most advanced foldable experience rather than mainstream smartphone users.
