Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra Prices Leak Ahead of Expected July 22 Launch

Samsung upcoming foldable smartphones are expected to arrive with premium hardware, larger displays and flagship cameras as leaked pricing points to a noticeable increase over previous generation models.

Samsung is expected to unveil its next generation foldable smartphones during the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22 in London. Ahead of the official announcement, a fresh leak has revealed the expected prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, suggesting both devices could launch at higher prices than their predecessors.

According to the leaked information, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 may carry a starting price of 1899 dollars, which is approximately Rs 181000. The premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is reportedly expected to debut at 2099 dollars, or around Rs 200000. The figures were shared in a report by a South Korean publication and indicate a price increase of around 100 dollars compared to the previous generation.

The reported price hike could make the new foldable lineup significantly more expensive in several markets, including India, where the increase may translate to roughly Rs 10000 depending on exchange rates and local pricing strategies. Samsung has not officially confirmed the leaked prices.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to introduce a refreshed design with a new form factor. Reports suggest the smartphone will feature a 5.4 inch cover display along with a 7.8 inch foldable internal screen that uses a four to three aspect ratio. The updated display is expected to offer an improved viewing experience, particularly for watching videos and multitasking.

Performance is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. The smartphone is also expected to include a 4800mAh battery, providing enough capacity for daily use. Camera specifications are said to include a dual 50 megapixel rear camera system, although Samsung has yet to confirm the final hardware.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to target premium smartphone buyers with upgraded specifications. Reports suggest it will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset while offering a larger 5000mAh battery. The camera system could include a 200 megapixel primary sensor, a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10 megapixel telephoto camera with three times optical zoom.

Alongside the Fold series, Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip 8 during the same launch event, further expanding its foldable smartphone portfolio. The company has not yet revealed the complete specifications or pricing of any of the upcoming devices.

As excitement builds ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event, technology enthusiasts are waiting for Samsung to officially unveil its latest foldable innovations. Until then, the leaked pricing and specifications remain unofficial, but they offer an early glimpse of what could be one of the company’s most advanced foldable smartphone lineups to date.
