Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Sees Strong Sales Surge With Ultra Model Leading Demand
Samsung Galaxy S26 series records solid early sales growth driven by premium demand in US and Korea while Ultra model gains strong traction in Europe despite regional market differences.

Samsung’s latest Galaxy S26 series has received a strong market response since its launch in February, with early sales data showing a noticeable rise compared to its predecessor. The lineup includes three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, each targeting different segments of premium smartphone buyers.
According to a report from market research firm Counterpoint, the Galaxy S26 series achieved nearly 15 percent higher sales in the first six weeks compared to the Galaxy S25 series. During the same period, Samsung’s overall smartphone sales also saw an increase of around five percent compared to the earlier launch cycle.
The strongest demand for the new series has come from the United States and South Korea, where early adoption has pushed sales into double digit growth territory. However, the performance has not been uniform across all regions. Markets such as Japan and China have shown relatively weaker demand when compared to the previous Galaxy S25 lineup.
Counterpoint Associate Director Sujeong Lim noted that premium markets have played a key role in supporting sales momentum. She highlighted that higher consumer spending power and positive response to AI powered features have contributed to the strong early performance of the Galaxy S26 series. However, she also pointed out that demand tends to soften after the initial launch period of around six weeks.
In Europe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has emerged as the standout performer within the lineup. One of the key reasons behind its strong reception is the absence of a price increase compared to the previous generation Galaxy S25 Ultra. In addition, the introduction of a new privacy focused display feature has helped attract premium buyers in the region.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra comes equipped with a quad rear camera system, headlined by a 200 megapixel wide angle primary sensor with an f 1.4 aperture. It is further supported by a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens, a 50 megapixel ultra wide sensor, and a 10 megapixel telephoto camera, offering a versatile photography experience for users.
Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery with support for 60W wired fast charging and 25W wireless charging. This combination is designed to provide both long usage time and quick top ups, aligning with the expectations of high end smartphone users.
Despite the positive momentum, external factors could influence future demand. Reports suggest that ongoing macroeconomic challenges, including geopolitical tensions in parts of the Middle East, may create uncertainty in consumer spending patterns over the coming months.
Looking ahead, Samsung is also preparing to expand its foldable smartphone portfolio. The company already holds a leading position in the global foldable market, and upcoming launches are expected to further strengthen its presence in this rapidly growing segment.
