Samsung has expanded its Galaxy M lineup in India with the launch of the new Galaxy M47 5G, a smartphone that combines a powerful battery, durable display protection and long term software support in the competitive mid range segment. The device is priced below Rs 25000, making it an attractive option for users looking for a feature packed 5G smartphone.
The Galaxy M47 5G is available at a starting price of Rs 22999 with eligible coupon offers. Customers can choose between Rogue Red and Blaze Blue color options. The smartphone will go on sale from July 4 through Samsung’s official channels and during the Amazon Prime Day Sale.
One of the biggest highlights of the new smartphone is its 6000mAh battery, designed to comfortably last through a full day of heavy use. The phone supports 45W fast charging, allowing users to recharge the large battery more quickly and spend less time connected to a charger.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M47 5G with a 6.7 inch Full HD Plus Super AMOLED Infinity O display featuring a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen delivers up to 800 nits of high brightness mode and reaches a peak brightness of 1400 nits for improved outdoor visibility. Protection is provided by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, offering greater resistance against scratches and accidental drops.
Performance is handled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor paired with the Adreno 710 graphics processor. The smartphone is offered with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 128GB and 256GB using UFS 3.1 technology. Users who require additional space can expand the storage through a microSD card up to 2TB.
Photography is another major focus of the device. The rear camera system includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization for sharper images and steadier videos. It is accompanied by an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. On the front, Samsung has included a 12 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 interface. One of its strongest selling points is Samsung’s promise of six years of operating system upgrades and six years of security updates, giving users extended software support that is rarely seen in this price category.
Additional features include a side mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and USB Type C audio support. Connectivity options include 5G, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS and a USB Type C port.
With its combination of a large battery, durable display, reliable processor, capable camera system and long term software commitment, the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G enters the Indian market as a strong contender for buyers seeking a balanced smartphone experience without moving into the premium price segment.
