Oppo And OnePlus Reportedly Planning Smartphones With 10000mAh Batteries
Oppo and OnePlus may introduce new smartphones with massive battery capacities above 10000mAh, aiming to reduce charging worries and improve long lasting usage.
Smartphone brands Oppo and OnePlus are reportedly preparing new devices that could feature extremely large batteries of 10000mAh or more. If the reports turn out to be accurate, these upcoming phones could offer some of the biggest battery capacities ever seen in devices from both companies.
The information comes from popular tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared details on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. According to the leak, Oppo and OnePlus are working on smartphones with ultra high capacity batteries. However, neither company has officially confirmed these details, so the information should be considered unverified for now.
Reports suggest that Oppo could be the first to launch a smartphone under its A series with a 10000mAh single cell battery. Meanwhile, OnePlus is said to be developing a mid range smartphone with Pro branding and model number SM8845, which could feature a battery capacity higher than 10000mAh.
These possible launches follow the companies’ recent focus on increasing battery sizes in their smartphones. Oppo recently introduced the Oppo A6 Pro 5G in India with the largest battery ever offered in the A series lineup. Similarly, the OnePlus Nord 6 launched earlier with the biggest battery capacity available on a OnePlus smartphone.
The Oppo A6 Pro 5G comes with a 7000mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. Its base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage was launched at Rs 21,999. On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord 6 features a 9000mAh battery along with 80W fast charging support. Its 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant was launched at Rs 38,999.
If Oppo and OnePlus successfully bring 10000mAh battery smartphones to the market, these devices could set a new benchmark for battery endurance. Such large battery capacities may appeal to users who rely heavily on smartphones for gaming, streaming, travel and long working hours without frequent charging.
