Nissan Elgrand Returns After Sixteen Years With Luxury Hybrid Upgrade
After a long gap Nissan has introduced the all new Elgrand featuring advanced hybrid technology a spacious premium cabin refined comfort and modern styling aimed at luxury minivan buyers worldwide

Nissan has officially unveiled the completely redesigned Elgrand, marking the luxury minivan’s return after nearly sixteen years. The latest version arrives with a fresh exterior, an upgraded cabin and the company’s newest hybrid technology, making it one of the brand’s most significant launches in recent years.
First introduced in 1997, the Elgrand earned a strong reputation for offering premium comfort and spacious interiors. Over time, however, the model received very few updates, allowing newer rivals to dominate the segment. With this latest generation, Nissan aims to regain its position in the premium minivan market.
A major highlight of the new Elgrand is Nissan’s third generation e Power hybrid system. The technology delivers improved fuel efficiency while providing a smoother and quieter driving experience. The engine operates with minimal noise, making both city drives and long distance journeys more comfortable for passengers.
The cabin has also been redesigned to offer more space than before. Nissan has increased the vehicle’s height and width, creating additional headroom and legroom for passengers in the second and third rows. Premium materials throughout the interior further enhance comfort, making the vehicle suitable for family travel, executive transportation and business use.
The updated design reflects Nissan’s effort to meet the expectations of modern luxury vehicle buyers. The company has focused on combining advanced technology, premium comfort and contemporary styling to compete directly with established premium minivans in the market.
The new Nissan Elgrand is currently available only in Japan with a starting price of 6897000 yen, which is approximately more than Rs 40 lakh in Indian currency. Nissan has not yet confirmed plans to launch the luxury minivan in other international markets.
With its refined design, spacious interior and advanced hybrid technology, the new Elgrand marks an important comeback for Nissan. The latest model is expected to attract buyers looking for a premium people mover that blends luxury, practicality and modern performance in a single package.
